More moves? More GROOVES!?
A new peripheral that allows the Wii to recognize what your mama gave ya, so you can shake-it-like-a-salt-shaker.
But what about Kinect?

Yeah, new dances and new game modes. That's not a bad thing.

He's saying that casual games like theses are destroying the gaming industry as they sell so well and the companies sell to who buys. Imagine if everyone went out and bought only guitar hero, rock band, justin beibers sing along, and movie based video games. Then Halo, GoW, Starcraft, and all the other "good" games would never come out.
Vigil wrote:Hell, why do you think the PS3 GO and Kinect are coming out?
To appeal to the some casual audience who buy this kind of game. If this keeps up, ''hardcore'' gaming may be pushed to the wayside.
I understand that "casual" games are becoming more popular, but that doesn't mean that "hardcore" games are going away. Just like there will always be "hardcore" gamers, there will always be "hardcore" developers. I'm sure that companies realize that there still are, and always will be those kind of gamers, and they will make games for their needs too.
Casual games are not ruining the gaming industry...
PS: I feel silly saying "hardcore"....
PSS: This game is exclusive to the Wii..... what do you expect from nintendo?!!? Seriously, they've been making casual games for a damn while now.

While still making the great trademark Nintendo games. They go both ways.

Re: Just Dance 2
The good news: It's not just another DDR ripoff.
The bad news: It's not any better.
It's the kind of game that I might enjoy for an hour or two... then get bored of. A few party games is okay, especially with a system like the Wii... but they shouldn't be taking up 75% of the market.
It's kinda like if they made Halo 3 with nothing but matchmaking for the standard Team Slayer. No matter how well you build it, it's the same thing over and over again.
Is it a bad game overall? Not necessarily. People that liked DDR will love this, and it might be fun at parties (particularly when you're half-drunk). The problem that I have with it is that it doesn't advance the gaming industry at all. It's one of those games where you just copy 90% of the code from the last game, update it, and dish out a new one each year. Call of Duty, Guitar Hero, Lego [Insert Money Maker Here], etc.

Re: Just Dance 2
I bought it, and, I think it's great ^ ^
It's nothing at all like DDR, mind you. There are few changes brought to the game though. It can award you points more accurately based on how you do the moves, and there are the special "gold" moves. The game has a lot more songs to do, and even a marketplace to buy new songs/dances.
I agree with civ that it presents little change from the first game and is comparable to games like Guitar Hero, but it DID change. They also added more game modes, and if you actually DO the dances, this is 10x more of a workout than WiiFit. Because the dances are challenging at first, it does have some replayability, not to mention, it's a great game to play with friends.

Re: Just Dance 2
My mom and sister got it when I picked up MoH. Funny thing last night, tho. I was called into the living room to clean up a little spot of pee from my puppy, and as I was waiting to leave (my sister was blocking the way with a dance move) she did a new dance move, and ball tagged me.
Just Dance 2 is dangerous.
