Never played the first one... I mean, it's a cool concept and it's nice to see something different in the market and all.... but if I wanted a building-climbing action game, I'd sooner play Assassin's Creed. The demo just didn't seem like something I'd seriously play for very long.

I don't believe you can wall run in Assassin's Creed! Now can you (can you? I wouldn't know)?

And AC isn't first person ^^

Though Mirrors Edge got a thumbs down from me due to how short it was. Though it was a good game, just a bit to short. It was a good rent Very Happy

....

I never said AC and Mirror's Edges was the same thing, Gauz. I just get more entertainment from AC.

And Vigil, I couldn't even get through the demo much less five more hours. I got to a point just a little after I meat the blond chick, then went to play another game.

Mirror's Edge was by far the better freerunning game. Great concept, just needs some tweaking.

For the nay sayers of shortness, Portal was also short. I can't remember how much portal retailed at but Mirror's Edge needs to be pretty short.

Price of Persia is better because you get to stab people when you jump off the walls.

Portal now costs $20. Orange Box, however, costs $30, and comes with Portal, TF2 ($20), Episode 2 ($10), Episode 1 ($10), and Half-Life 2 ($10). And Portal was given away for free for a month. So Portal is essentially free.

Hate to point out that this is very old news from spring of 2009. Nothing new is said in that very old article.

But yes, Mirrors Edge has the core gameplay mechanics down, but the cinematic, story, and AI need a little push. And perhaps a decent game will be made.

But if the developers want to make this a game a monster hit. A co-op and multiplayer elements along side a more open environment.(The entire city)

Meh, just buy Brink. From what I've heard, its Mirrors Edge meets Fallout 3.

I'd if it's one thing I've learned, it's that TF2 =/= Fallout 3.
