Mystery Game...

alright, here's the dealio...

i havent thought about it until just a few minutes ago, but i remember tinges of a WWII Alternate History video game

from what i can remember from seeing it somewhere in the past, Hitler was assassinated and this new guy took over, shortly whereafter Germany started using these giant walking robots, one of which i remember on the front cover of the game

at least im pretty sure it was


does anyone have any idea what game i'm thinking of, or am i having mad delusions?

If it was an rts, it could be warfront: turning point.

It could always be that one Justice League episode you remember. =P

the one in WWII, with the wheel tank and the Navy kicking ass to alot of German Transports

And yes HB, there is FPS elements in this.

Yeah, from what i've seen there are some pretty cool units
like those mechs

and the German Uber tank

to pull a civbase battlezone

The fps element is you can take control of a tpwer and use it, which gives it more range (maybe attack speed and damage boost as well, not sure), but makes it so you cant control your army, build more units, scout, or build buildings.

Wasn't that what one completely intelligent and oringial user from HWF that obviously used the search bar suggest to be done with Halo Wars?

yup. in fact, all the most well thought out topics on that forum were on the very subject of FPS in an RTS.
