That's a tough question. On one hand, movies that were based on video games are usually very bad. On the other hand, video games based on movies are usually trash cashing in on a label.

I would say (ratio wise atleast) that movies based off games are worse.
There have been a few good games based off Movies.
But there is like one game that was made successfully into a film.

in general i think that games based off of movies are the worst
for one thing they end up being nothing like the movie in the first place

and as for movies based off of video games, the only one i can remember seeing was Doom with Dwayne Johnson, and i didn't care for that particular movie
