Left 4 Dead: The Sacrifice

Post by Rotaretilbo on Fri Oct 08, 2010 9:30 pm

If you haven't yet, you all need to read the comic Valve made as a preview to their newest DLC, The Sacrifice, because Left 4 Dead just went from a game with impressive gameplay and design and a shallow backstory to a game with impressive gameplay and design and one of the best stories I've ever encountered. This comic ties everything together, and really fleshes out the characters. Though I thought I couldn't respect Valve any more than I already did, I have a much deeper and more profound respect for Valve, having read this comic.

I've only played the DLC

That was okay, but 360 owners get ripped off for 560 MS points for BOTH DLC packs for BOTH Games. It's only 3 sections and a repackage of No Mercy.

Achievements were ridiculious as well, as there are 5 for 50 each and they are very easy.

Don't blame Valve. They're quite content to release their DLC for free. Microsoft, however, is not.

I'm probably switching to PC games soon. Now that Bungie is with Activision, i don't have a reason to stay with consoles.

And I thought I wouldn't have to get L4D1. Maybe I still won't, but it's tempting me more now.

(I skipped L4D1 and bought L4D2)

Okay so...

I bought it. It was kind of short, only three parts. I mean, it was very good, and I felt like it had more routes you can take to get to the safe house.

I was expecting more though when you sacrificed a character than just getting downed. Not to mention, playing with the A.I. kinda sucked at the finale considering they couldn't climb the damn ladder. Would've been nice to make an epic battle between the horde and three tanks.

I liked it.
