You know that Forerunner trilogy we heard about a while back? We finally had more details and a release date for the first book.

Looking forward to it.

Also, is that the official cover? If yes then...meh. As cool as it is, I think it could've been a little better. But, I still like on it's own.

Yes that is the official cover artwork.

Tor suck at their covers, look at Evolutions and Cole Protocol for example.

.... thats a fairly lame speedpaint in and of itself... hardly cover worthy

as for the book... im not gonna read it... as the mystique behind the forerunners is what made the first game so much fun

I like those covers though. Cole more so then Evolutions.

Ehh, maybe a little but not too bad, at least to me. It's got the two plots in the book on it, The Rubble and a Spartan of Gray Team. I like it.

I think Ghosts has the best personally.

Agreed. Ghosts had the best cover.

Fall of Reach was pretty epic, even if it was just 5 Spartans.

Krazy, you honestly made my day by saying this.

I'm glad someone else actually understands why halo is good.

I feel that there's a way in all this somewhere that they can dwell into the Forerunners, but still leave some mystery and mystique behind them. Granted I know that this is going to be a 3 book series (I think...) but I believe it to be possible.

I'm a bit annoyed that they decided to do more on the forerunners, as to be honest, I was content with the limited information we were given, but in the hands of a talented writer, which Greg Bear is, it has the potential to be very good, but leave enough to our imaginations.

That's the cover? It looks like a piece of concept art with black boxes on top. Probably is, too.

KrAzY, you should show em up with your own cover that looks 10x better.

Yeah, but I don't really see a problem with the actually illustration itself. It's the layout of the title and author that makes it sub par. Looks like they made that part in Microsoft Paint. Just plastered some black bars and simple texts.

They should change that. But in the end, it's not really going to discourage me from reading it.
