I forgot Nylund didn't write Contact Harvest...

Re: Halo: Cryptum
I liked Contact Harvest.
I still have Evolutions to read. Maybe skip that for now and read this?
Perhaps...if it's as good as Civ says it is.

Re: Halo: Cryptum
Contact Harvest wasn't too bad, as Staten once again showed that he's really good at writing dialogue and motivations for the Covenant, but not as good on the UNSC side of things.
There are some stories in Evolutions I like, such as The Return and the life and Death of Admiral Cole (Though that was a Nylund story).
I'll have a look at this when I get the chance.

This is probably why I liked it. I have more interest in Covenant backstory then I do UNSC.
This is is also why I enjoyed Halo 2 so much.

Me too Rock, but I do appreciate and like what Nylund did for the UNSC side of the backstory and motivation, Staten never really seemed to get it as well.

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong. I fully recognize what Nylund did and how well his work is.

Yeah, I agree, Staten really got the Covie side of the story up and running.
I cried when Lighter than Some died and when he had his best line ever:
It is who I am.

- Spoiler:
- “I’m having great fun working through the action and growing mysteries in HALO: PRIMORDIUM, as humans engage in an epic odyssey across a damaged, war-torn Halo, facing the Flood, rogue AIs, and the stunning testament of the Last Precursor,” says author Greg Bear. “This is classic SF territory for me, and it’s a terrific opportunity to work with the 343 team, and to contribute through these books to both future games and the Halo universe in general.”
Awesomeness ensues.
