Paranormal Activity 2

Post by Gauz on Sun Oct 17, 2010 5:08 am

I just watched it not too long ago and... it was pretty okay I thought. More things happened than in the first, fyi.

Didn't watch it, but read the plot on Wikipedia.

As I suspected, hated the ending.

Spoiler:
The parents die, and the baby is kidnapped by the possessed Katie from the last film. Therefore, the daughter is left an orphan, and the baby is either going to be killed, or the demon will take control and wait till he's old enough. Honestly, I don't even know why I bother finding out what happens in these movies anymore...

Yeah, my opinion on the horror genre has not been improved.

I'm glad the horror movie didn't have a happy ending. They shouldn't have them.

That just makes them suck even more.

It doesn't have to be a happy ending, just a non-depressing/rage inducing/make-the-whole-thing-a-waste-of-time ending.

Look up Bittersweet Ending on TV Tropes.

Paranormal Activity has never really had a plot.
It just has an excuse for massive amounts of suspense

As such, I wasn't disappointed with it on plot levels Razz

I liked 2 better than the first one, idk why exactly
Spoiler:
coolest part was when the mom got dragged into the basement and then the clock speeds up for a few hours and you KNOW that she's still down there...

Spoiler:
In the right mindset (and by that I mean you're imaging YOU are in the actors positions), it can be freaking scary. Being dragged down the stairs TWICE and into the basement and held there for hours.... I would quite literally piss myself.
