Computer Problems

Okay, so my computer won't turn on right.

Last night, it said something was wrong, and some component was stuck in an "infinite loop". That was what the bluescreen said. So, I turned it off and turned it back on. It froze again, and when I tried to turn it back on again, it didn't work.

Now whenever I turn it on, it seems to start up for literally one second before I hear the fans just stop, and the blue light on the power button blinks on and off for a few seconds at a time. I opened it up and tried to clean the dust out, but it still didn't work.

I checked Google, and one site suggested a new power supply. My mom has one at work that she doesn't use (an extra one I guess, they gave it to her) that she said she'd bring home so we can try that. If that doesn't work, does anyone else know what we can do?
