For the past few month's we've been putting up with some awfully stupid ads and smear campaigns, but these ones top the list.

I feel ashamed to know who Mike Huckabee is...although...I remember seeing that ad on tv a few years ago. I laughed. But the other ones...are you SERIOUS? Those were so stupid...>.>

I had really hoped Huckabee would win the Republican primaries during the last presidential elections. I mean, can the Internet not vote for someone who is Chuck Norris approved?

Now, I can't find any examples, but literally all the ads I've seen here in Illinois were attack ads, and every single one of them was terrible.
Honestly, the next election I can vote in (I turn 18 in March) I'm going to vote for spite. That is to say, I'm going to explicitly vote against whoever has the worst ads.
In a situation like this, most people would just vote for an independent instead, but I'm not just going to throw my vote away

Never did I say that this modern take on it is at all intelligible, for mine was a jest at your comment; not intended to hold up as an argument relevant to the discussion.
Personally, the American political system bores me. In the era of mass, monopolized media, elections are useless to convey the true choice of the people. Now more than ever, the masses are too easily swayed by the whims of he who has the most money. I pray one day we will invite dictatorship.
