EDIT: I agree with ring, 2 million doesn't sound like the right number
It does when you think about the level of defences around Earth, coupled with the fact that the Reapers whole goal kinda revolves around living humans.

Re: MASS EFFECT 3 [now with spoilers]
Reapers can sorta control peoples minds, that 2 million could be higher or lower depending on their goals. It looked like they were just, shooting everything possible without really trying to capture anyone.
Also, you'll notice that guy ejecting a casing, probably meaning thermal clips or ammo in ME3....
Thermal clips should be a luxury item, like if your guns about to overheat (in heavy combat), you could eject them, otherwise it takes a while to cool down by itself.

I never understood why have thermal clips. With the amount of ammo lying around, it was practically impossible to run out of ammo.

Yeah, it never really had an impact on gameplay...

It was there to try and speed up combat and make it more frentic, because you wouldn't just sit back and keep shooting until you overheated then wait and fire again.Gold Spartan wrote:I never understood why have thermal clips. They expect you to use a lot of your ammo in a fight, especially on higher difficulties, and then having to improvise on the last few guys, and then you get some ammo ready for the next encounter.
That idea is good in theory but with the abilities recharging pretty damn quickly, you could really more on them than you could with bullets.
P.S: What's with all the ME2 hate? It's still on my track on being my favourite game this year.

All it was there for was as an incentive to move forward and not make you constantly camp. Just like in any shooter with an ammo system.

I think they set the ammo limits for the shotgun and maybe the sniper too low. The shotgun ran out of ammo before you were halfway through most encounters.

Hmm, I don't recall ever having an ammunition problem. Probably because I mostly used Assualt Riffles, but when I didn't I never had a moment where I out of ammo and died or had a harder time because of it.

dont forget in ME 1 the weapon mods let you build a bottomless clip assault rifle witch simpliefied most of the fighting to holding down the fire button from one peice of cover

Re: MASS EFFECT 3 [now with spoilers]
Which made sense for higher difficulties when the enemies were harder (not that much harder, but it makes more sense for them to up the difficulty then to implement thermal clips instead of weapon mods)
Again, thermal clips should really be a luxury item, like if your in heavy combat, instead of waiting for your gun to cool down you could just use a thermal clip.
It makes sense for heavy weapons too, but you should be able to buy heavy weapon ammo, instead of finding it randomly, with that being said, ME3 should be more like ME1, where you can make money from killing people and selling their gear.

2 Million in the first day? Maybe more like 2 BILLION in the first day...
Oh trust me, the Bioware forums have covered this.
It's implied that he meant London alone.

Yeah, but the last scene showed a huge swath of the earth on fire.
