CivBase wrote:I saw it today. It's definitely a Michael Bay movie. There were a ton of really cool action moments, but they were constantly interrupted with "yah right" moments and story gaps.

Just for example:
Spoiler:
>The entire scene with the falling building
>The part where he grapples the decepticon in the eye and gets flung around
>When he saved his girlfriend and jumped onto the ship-thing... and then it crash landed while he was hanging on the outside
>Sentinel Prime's ship just happened to crash land on the moon? Right next to the humans that they wanted to enslave?

>Why did the decepticons shoot down Sentinel Prime's ship if he was working with them in the first place?
>Why did the decepticons collect so many pillars and move their forces to the moon? Why not just teleport from Cybertron?
>When he went back to the autobots to get info for the decepticons (with the watch), why didn't the 'energon scanners' go off? They stopped him in the first place, cuz they detected the two little guys. Why wouldn't they detect the watch-guy?

I thought the beginning was pretty cool, though... and it wasn't a horrible movie. I just felt it could have been improved with a few tweaks to make it more... believable.

Spoiler:

> I thought it was amusing that they seemed to defy physics and gravity about 5 times during that sequence.
> That was Starscream, and dear god was bad.
>Maybe Bumblebee helped them? Again Physics is not a concern to Mr Bay.
> As did the Solar Needle which was built before the Ark Crashed, and no one knew about that either. The Autobots and Human intelligence in this world are pretty bad a finding this shit out.

>Because it was a cunning way to fool us, and for the Decepticons to fuck up their own plans. They do it later when Sentinel says he wants Humanity as a slave labour force, then they go about massacring the entire population of Chicago. Kinda counter-intuitive.

>Cybertron was destroyed? Or at least from the series was unsustainable for a prolonged war/life. My Question is Where the fuck are all these decepticons coming from?
> Because the Watch was different, maybe because it was so small it had a minimal or hard to read with the scanners. Surprised with all the scanners in DC, they never picked up Soundwave when his girlfriend drove about in him.

To quote the Master "Remove one-tenth of the population!"

When one Decepticon loves another Decepticon...

Lol. Probably just went out, found another race of machines, and started handing out jackets, boots and armbands.

Strip mine Earth's resources and materials and move them to Cybertron and use them to rebuild using their equipment under transformer supervision.
