*Spoilers* Mass effect 2 fail....

Yeh, so i just finished mass effect 2 and i utter failed:

I forgot to upgrade my ship so i lost Thane, Legion and Jack before we even got through the omega 4 relay in the cut scene.

Then in the collector base i lost tali, grunt and Mordin.

I asked my friends what they lost and they said like non and 2...

/Fail

What about you guys?

I lost Mordin, the Cerberus chick and Legion.

Dayumn man, i think she's going to play a leading part in ME3.
If you're importing your ME2 character then you are screwed...

I'm having to start over the last few hours to try and make no one die...

2 Playthroughs so far on two different characters and I haven't lost anyone yet.

1 playthrough, lost no one.
Correction, lost jack, But I could care less because she's a total bitch.

I understand you can stop people from dying by upgrading your ship but how do i prevent my squad members dying when inside the collector base? Is there a certain member to each role that they must go in or die?

Did you make them loyal to you first?

Yes, all were loyal, but when i gave them their jobs, like second group leader and biotic shield dude, they died after fulfilling their job.

Mordin. Last time I lost Jack I believe.

All you really have to do is think who would play the part the best, not who you like. Tali and Legion are masters at technology because those things keep them alive, so choose them to crawl through the vents. Jack and Samara/Morinth are strong biotics which sets them apart from the rest, so they can be used to protect you and your team from the seeker swarms. Miranda and Jacob are known for their leadership skills. Garrus may be able to play the leader, but then again he got his first team killed so I'm not sure.

Mordin would be the best choice to be the escort otherwise there is a very large chance that he will die.

Your team for the final battle should be loyal, otherwise they die.

I lost tali on my first playthrough

then lost nobody on the second

lost EVERYBODY on the third (for fun)

Lost nobody on my fourth and fifth



I have more than enough characters for ME3 lol

and each one of those I also took through ME1

1 complete playthrough and I lost no one. Internet research and my GI magazine helped me with this.
