Having trouble installing new display drivers

Post by Ascendant Justice on Wed Dec 29, 2010 3:14 pm

Okay so I downloaded the new driver (yes its compatible)

http://www.nvidia.com/object/notebook-win7-winvista-64bit-260.99-whql-driver.html

However when I go to install it, a message pops up that says "non 7-Zip archive"

How do I get rid of this? I know what the 7-Zip program DOES, as I use it to extract files and such but I dont want it interfering with my driver installation.

help please?

It could be a .rar file and 7-Zip doesn't recognize it... or maybe it's just a regular .zip file and 7-Zip is trying to open it as a .7z file?

I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure you're supposed to make a favorable sacrifice to to the Microsoft gods.

im pretty sure you're just supposed to use winrar since it can open every archive type in existance.

7zip can do pretty much everything winrar can, its just freeware instead of something that you're supposed to pay for (winrar's protection doesn't work, supposed to just be a trial).
