Sure I agree it's done for shock value, as nobody likes to see children dying in media as it makes them uncomfortable, but if it's done with a bit of tact and care, to make us feel sympathy for the child and what happened to her, the trailer has succeeded at making you have an emotional investment in the procedings for better or worse.

As for the game itself, one of the first things I said this year was please no more zombie games, as 2010 had a ton of zombie-related releases, and from what I've read about this game so far, it's a first person slasher/RPG where the characteruses melee weapons and explores the Island, so kind of a mix of L4D and Dead Rising. I might get it, but it would have to be something special.

Real World damage to the zombies last I heard.



Hit a zombie on the right side with a bat, their rib cage breaks, they start limping while holding onto the rib or something like that.

That was my primary example of doing it right.

She was killed as a character, not just as a woman.
