Bungie's New Game is an MMOFPS Called "Destiny"?

Rumors abound.

According to the source, Destiny--which is codenamed Tiger in development--will run on an entirely new game engine and will sport "unique online connectivity and matchmaking technology." The source said Bungie's MMOG will be "WoW in space."

Thoughts? Will this game be good? Bad? Will you buy it? It is all just a hoax, masking the final step of the plan for world domination?

I doubt it, though looking at their track record, an MMO isn't out of the question, but I don't think their new publishers would of signed up for it, as they already have Blizzard to fall back to in that department.

Activision probably wanted what we all expect, something kinda similar to what they've done before, just with a clean slate and some fresh ideas.

except activision doesn't own bungie. they just take care of publishing

I doubt this. While Bungie may be working on an MMOFPS... I highly doubt they're aiming for "WoW in space" -_-

The article said that Bungie refuted the "ex-employees" claims of being... well... an ex-employee. I'm guessing it's just someone who dislikes Halo and has made it one of his life goals to make everyone else feel the same.

I might look into the game if it turns out to be true, but MMO subscriptions tend to be grossly overpriced. I also doubt it would be console-based.

no reason why this can't be a console mmo

It's far more difficult to do console MMOs if I remember from past readings. It COULD be console-based... but I doubt it.
