Re: should i.............
It depends if you think you'd like them.
Personally I think MvC3 is a little too crazy and with so much stuff having on screen at any given time, pretty intimidating to a new player, especially as I've heard the practice and mission modes are pretty poor at teaching you the mechanics of the game.
But if interests you, look at the general feedback to it, look at some gameplay and make your decision based on an informed opinion.

Re: should i.............
MvC3 has a mode for playing Vigil called "easy mode" (i think that's what it's called) that simplifies the moves and combos for you. I'm not quite sure exactly how it works but I have heard that it's a pretty good tutorial in itself. Agreed though that they should've put in a tut.
When it comes to modes, MvC3 lacks. Good news is, they will probably bring them back or add more in using DLC (along with new/old characters). The bad news is, they're doing this by DLC. Meaning $, hopefully reasonable enough price.
You can tell I want this game. ^_^ I think I'll wait for a sale or price drop to at least $40 though. BF3 is a for sure buy for me when it comes out in fall so I have to second thoughts on that games.

Yeah I checked up on that. Easy mode apparantly just does all the moves for you at the press of one button, which doesn't really help if your legitmately trying to learn the moves and mechanics. I've got experience in the genre with being a long term player of Tekken and Soul Calibur, but this a totally new fighting system which would probably confuse the hell out of me.
They did it with street fighter 4, it wouldn't surprise me.
Yeah. Right now Bulletstorm and Dragon Age II are the games I going to get now.

Re: should i.............
From what I hear it's actually not that confusing and it has a great learning curve.
As of now, games I know I'm going to get for sure include MvC3, BF3 abd probably Portal 2. Others I either want more info or to play it for myself. Demo, beta, borrow from friend or rent.

Re: should i.............
Yeah and I've played them except for DA2. Those games don't really interest me that much. BS seems like a rent to me and I've yet to play anything DA. I'll give the demo a try here soon but I don't think I'll appriciate it as much as others. As per my personal taste.
2 games came into mind when I said this and that's Homefront and Brink. Especially Brink. Others like Skyrim, Mass Effect 3 and Legend of Zelda etc, I'll be picking up because there is pretty much no fear when it comes to those games.
