Education maintence allowance- a small amount of money given to students weekly in the UK in post high-school (College mostly) for students from poorer backgrounds.

The UK Government has decided to scrap the scheme as a cost-cutting measure, which has provoked anger from students who need it to cover food and travel costs.

Would you like to know more?

sounds like a poor horrible version of financial aid.

while there should be some financial aid, that one doesn't seem to be too awesome.
