Who's excited for APB?

Many of you probably heard last year about a game called APB. Developed by Real Time Worlds, it was an attempt, to paraphrase the developer, to incorporate GTA level game play and graphics into a MMO game, where the skill base combat of an FPS can meet the open world elements of a RPG. IT featured a robust custumization system, stunning graphics, "free" gameplay, and a soundtrack supported by Last.fm, among many other qualities. I was excited for this game, enough so that it was a factor in my purchasing of a new computer. Then, less then 3 months after it's release (and before I could buy it), it died. Hope was revived this year, however, when Gamersfirst bought the game to again release it for "free". After having an unexpectedly high number of Closed Beta tester application, the game is almost to Open beta. What are the crimson thoughts on this?

Haven't really heard much about it. I thought it came out already and did poorly.

the customization was beast.

i hope they have something in place to turn my unused hours into some kind of premium bonus

Meh. The original was a lesson in how to not create an MMO. This... I'll wait to see what they do different.

the only problem with it was the weapons not being balanced.

it didn't need to be an MMO, just a dynamic multiplayer shooter. So having 'upgrades' was a game breaker.
