Obama wouldn't have made a statement if he wasn't dead.

Even though it's unlikely going to stop Al Quededa as I doubt he'd been actively running the organization for quite some time, this is a massive moral boost for the allies and a huge blow to them.

We might see some revenge attacks in the next few weeks.

Overall great news.

political showboating. Time to start thinking about elections. General support for the war would go up with the news.

There would be pictures if the story was true. Period.

the problem with a predator missile is that kills are ridiculously hard to confirm.

Osama didn't realize that the US team had scouted his secret expansion with an Observer. Too bad he hadn't put up any Photon Cannons.

Pictures of what could be Osama's hideout. Waiting for it to pop up on Google Earth.

In addition, a fake photo of a dead Osama Bin Ladin is floating around the internet. Got to give 'em credit; whoever made it is frickin' fast.

The SEAL team was plan B, we were going to bomb the compound but the civilian casualties would have been too great. He's dead, along with his eldest son, but everyones on high alert now.

I thought they buried him at sea though because it's Islamic tradition to bury a dead body within one day.

They've been reporting they buried him at sea while upholding all Islamic Tradition in the process. They considered burying him on land somewhere, but thought it would be too difficult and believed it would become a pilgrimage and rallying site for sympathizers.

'Tis great news indeed. Hopefully, Al Queda will be greatly weakened with their leader removed.

Like I said before, he hasn't been actively running things in a long time, and was only in the background in more recent plots.

His second in command and mentor has been running things.

A former intelligence officer said that he was still an active organizer, so if thats true, they lost a great asset for operations and supporters.
