I actually have no idea, just assumed it was based off the title and no one posted it wasn't otherwise in the actual video.

It is, they didn't do basically anything with the graphics or engine, just changed some of the stat values around and added new guns and game modes.

I like Battlefield better because it is harder to be good at it.

No offense to anyone, but COD is too easy, i can play that shit in my sleep...
I got a 2.12 k/d on Black Ops using the "crappy weapons" IE Sniper and M60...

Plus the vehicles and actual classes in battlefield put emphasis on specialization compared to COD Assault or SMG.

So yeah, Battlefield is my choice.

BUT WHO CARES SKYRIM IS OUT IN LIKE 5HR 20MINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its fine to re-use buildings i mean when you have advanced graphics and destruction physics and your weapons aren't hitscan death machines its more work to code new buildings into an engine which doesn't suck, OH right that's battlefield.

Well, ain't that the most coherent and mature post I've read all day.

Take it from someone who honestly doesn't give a crap about either game franchises: If a game has a yearly release schedule, proportedly feels like a 60$ map pack, and is going so far as to reuse geometry from previous titles, that's a sign that the devs are being pushed too hard.

Typically, I wouldn't have a problem with reused buildings. Hell, some of the buildings in Lone Wolf (Reach) appeared earlier in The Package (Again, Reach), though they had the excuse of being prefabricated lean-tos. But in this case, I'll make an exception.

Oh, and if they were able to port a retextured model from a previous game, I wonder how much the destruction physics have changed...

Well, I don't really care if the series is re-using stuff. At this point, it is what it is I guess.

But all that aside, so far, I am liking the MP. Nothing's really happend to me that would make me hate it. Same old gameplay.
We'll see what comes up in a few months.

Tuesday though, back to some much needed Reach play time with Anniversary.

From what I know, not really. I think it has more to do with what SHOULD be DLC being released as a full price game every single year, and having to buy the new one if you still want a decent multiplayer experience.

Now while a majority of the game feels the same and, well, IS - there are changes in the game. I really doubt they'll release a DLC with a whole new campaign, new maps, new spec. ops. and a whole new gametype... maybe across the span of multiple DLC's but that I think does = whole new game.

Well for some yes, you're right but just not for me. (Plus also what seath said. that does pretty much suck) Considering that it is released yearly, I don't expect much to change etc. You'd be surprised how much of a difference small changes make to the overall gameplay. Not very much mind you but still, it's there.

I'm not saying this game is amazing or anything I'm just saying been playing it with a lot of friends recently and so far it's very fun. Kill Confirmed is fun with a group. The only thing that I can say that started to annoy me was the fact that gun damage is very high which means you die very fast this time around. AKA, twitch shooter to the max :/ This is something you can get used to though.

But I still love BF3. 2 very different games in terms of gameplay and such IMO. Once the group gets together on BF3, then I say "what's modern warfare?". Razz

They could and should, but they don't. At the very least, they could release them as expansions... but they they wouldn't earn as much money.

MW3 should have definitely been an expansion pack(and priced accordingly). Especially with a campaign that plays more like a 5 hour movie than an actual game. But good ole' Activision has to milk the series just a little bit more than its worth.

From what I've heard, this game brings even less to the table than the last few CoD releases. I didn't even think that was possible.

http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/call-of-duty-modern-warfare-3

Forgot to post this earlier, incase anyone is still on the fence with Christmas season being around the corner and all.

Oh and for comparison sake heres the one for blackops

http://www.metacritic.com/game/xbox-360/call-of-duty-black-ops

More or less i don't think its the numbers that matter much but on how people did their reviews, you either love Cod or you hate it from what i see. and since the series doesn't change it makes it very easy for people to gravitate to one end of the spectrum (years of enjoyment and such or years of pain and frustration) Personally i think i'm just gonna stay with the Treyarch's releases every other year, despite being the 'lesser' studio they seam to be trying a little harder to make the series appealing to people who don't like the more Michael bay interactive movie experience of the MW sequels (not series since MW1, cod 4 whatever you wanna call it was somewhat different).

Of course if they actually swing the series another way again since this was the third in the modern warfare arc (i know nothing of the story as of this point so if i'm stupidly ignorant of a cash in cliffhanger at the end, and you know they have no qualms about doing something like that [did it in MW2], i apologize)

I'll probably swallow my pride and get that game since knowing me i'll end up considering that more of a spiritual successor to Cod4 than MW2. Call of Duty 5! Medieval Warfare! Think about it, the quickscope community will be happy they will have the liberty of not even having scopes on thier long range weapons Razz and i'm sure they will find some way to throw absurd amounts of explosives in as well.
