Yeah, and the story is a convoluted [generic] mess, don't forget that.

The only real problems with the game imo are Kirkwall at night and the constant recycling of the same areas. I swear to god, there are only 4 real areas in the game. I think that Bioware will improve upon their mistakes from DA2 and make this is a game everyone can appreciate.

No, because so long as there's more of it, people will think it's good and shell out cash, even if DA3 had this same fault, people will still buy it, so...

Just like coming out with another Pirates of the Caribbean movie and it turns out to be meh, people are still going to see it on the merits of it being a movie about swashbucking.

The story of DA1 was a generic mess. DA2's story just felt like 3 seperate episodes in one person's life which would loosely linked. All of the detail of Hawke's story are lost, and we are essentially get the highlights. Sure In Act II the Mage/Templar conflict is built up on and set up for the final act, but not as much as was needed. Oh and the fact everybody goes apeshit at the end and tires to kill you, no matter your alliegance. That was pretty contrived and non sensical.

Look at the difference between DA1 to DA2 and the difference between Mass Effect 1 and 2. They clearly listen to criticism and try to improve on their mistakes (Regardless if you liked the final product or not). Why do you think they delayed ME3 till 2012? They clearly saw how poorly DA2 was recieved by ans and critics and decided to give more time to ME to make sure it doesn't happen again.

LOL, when I beat DA: Origins, I was like... 'what?'

It was the least fulfilling messy game I've ever played, and for it to have gotten such stellar reviews is shocking. I couldn't even tell if I was doing the right thing, every action had a positive and a negative result almost. Characterization was also quite lame. Alistair wants to be king, wait, now he doesn't, well maybe he does, he doesn't know, and now you must choose between 2 irrelevant choices with almost no impact to the player. I can't even imagine how the second one must have been, you can only play as that Hawke guy who really makes a point of styling his hairdo.

I'm worried about ME3, because more then often what fans want is actually pretty bad for the game, or they don't even know! Wasn't it recently that Valve asked their fanbase if they would prefer HL2: ep3 or L4D: 3, and the majority said L4D: 3? As soon as I beat ME 2, I wasn't completely satisfied with the story, but I still liked the game, and the first thing I thought of doing was chiming in with some suggestions to Bioware.

Also, I think that under one of those news articles pertaining to the ME movie, the people were saying Micheal Bay should direct it in the comments section. Nightmare stuff [Captain Anderson voice]
