WHY are you asking a, by definition, Oppressive Monarchy to help you with politics?

Frankly I wouldn't be much help as the coalition would ignore most of my views because they're highly negative and they obviously think they know better.

As for my local MP he can go Fuck himself and I hate him as well because he has screwed so much up over the time he's been in power he really shouldn't be taken as a credible voice of the people.

And what about you JJ? what do you stand for and want to change?

JumpingJet wrote:You all know I'm a political minded figure, or at least I hope you do Smile I've recently joined a website Called Jolitics.com A website internationally recognised to work with governments to find out peoples views.

People post their political proposals which others then vote upon. If the proposal is approved then it is passed onto your governing body via your local political figure. For insistence this would be your local MP for British members.

Each member of the website can be "Nominated" the more "Nominations" a member has the more weight his/her vote carries.

So, I ask that you please show your support to me by Nominating me on the website, all it takes is a quick 30 second to sign up using your Facebook account (or register normally if you wish) and search for me: "Thomas Gatehouse".

If you do wish to support me, please select your location as United Kingdom upon registering otherwise you will not be able to find me.

If you have doubts about doing so because maybe you are not sure about my political intentions then I'm happy to answer your questions in this thread.

Kind of an interesting way of doing things.
I assume your proposals are listed on the website for us to read them?

I bet this is just a ploy by the government to make the people think they have power.

The excuse of slothful people, rationalizing their unwillingness to improve their world.

I do have the will to improve the world, I just don't think this is really the way to do it.

Makes perfect sense.

So now i have stated my political view i just want to say that i wont be voting for you anyway, due to the fact that what your doing is asking us to taste your cake, but not telling us that the cake is full of neurotoxin.

I think it's more a dictatorship ;)

I'm going to post them on this thread soon enough, when you first asked me to do so it was midnight last night. I've just got in from work and its also 23:20. I'll be adding them soon.

As i said in reply to Ring Leader, I'll be posting my views soon.
But if you could define me, it would have to be Liberal Nationalist.

I understand that may not make sense at first though but once you learn of my policies you will understand it makes perfect sense Smile

I agree, it reaches out in a modern manner, very effective.

Yes, you will find me there. Although currently i have only made one proposal on the website as i am new to it. Only been a member for a couple of day.

I've made just the one proposal at the moment to see how well people take it and my views so see who supports me and who doesn't. Defining friends from foes, then forge some alliances before i go fully live Smile

If its so hard for young people to find a job, how exactly is this going to generate job opportunities? Seems like it's a proposal that sounds nice, but would accomplish next to nothing in reality.

And how exactly are the businesses sponsoring the schools? Money? Job Fairs?

Benefits:

Recipients of Jobseekers' Allowance should be required to perform community service relevent to the amount they recive (10 hours per week)

doesn't this get in the way of the purpose of the allowance in the first place, SEEKING A JOB. Being forced to put time into community service and find community service jobs takes time away from actually getting a job.

The local businesses can also provide pre-employment training as part of the school curriculum to get Graduates straight into work.

That last part sounds a lot like ROP(Regional Occupation Program) classes. Not sure if you have those in GB so I'll elaborate. They are classes you can take in school that allow you to actually work at a job site and gain experience with a job. Usually this is technical, but it can range anywhere from sanitation plant operation, TV Broadcasting, or Game Design.

Those don't exist in the better part of my state to my knowledge. Remember that this is the US, don't expect to find the same programs everywhere in the nation.

I don't see how a measly ten hours of community service a week is going to keep them from finding a job. Most people getting assistence are typically unemployed for at least a month. Unless they are a lazy ****, they should be able to check every business within a thirty minute drive(or other form of transportation available) and still have time for ten hours of community service.

but factor in the time required to find those 10 hours of community service, actually getting it documented properly.

the 10 hours is more practical for those getting a more full on welfare type allowance. unless that is what 'job seeking allowance' is.
