You have to have a DX11 graphics card, which the 8800GT isn't.
You know what kind of graphics card he has? Do you know what kind I have? >.>

Do you have a 360m, or have you upgraded from this?
(Last post in this thread)

I know what card V has because of this thread.

Very Good Graphics Card
Very Good HD Speed
Good Processor
Okay RAM
Okay HD Space
No Backlight Keyboard
Battery Life Not Listed

For $800? Pretty good buy. I've found backlight keyboards to be invaluable, though. That would be my only problem with it.

I think you're actually the one who posted this link (or maybe it was lax.... ob maybe? idk), and I think it's a much better deal for the same price: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834230021

Don't really need backlight on keyboard if you are comfortable enough using it.

I haven't looked at my keyboard fore years.

Indeed, I think the former is still a better deal (and system) then the one civ posted.

Agree disagree?

I think the one Civ posted is better. Larger screen, faster processor, more memory, more RAM.

Really, the only drawback is an extra $5 to the cost and a slightly slower HD... which doesn't really influence gaming very much. It slows instal times and might make MS Word open documents a milisecond slower, but it's worth having a better processor and more memory.

You're probably right. Alright, I'll keep looking around, but this one is my top pick for now.

Don't get me wrong. It's still a great deal. I just found the other one a while ago on here and I haven't seen any better values for a gaming computer since.

It has a dual core processor, while the one civ posted has a quad core processor.

So would this laptop be good for starcraft and ToR? Since that's mainly all I'll be using it for.

My new system that I wish to get in a couple months time:

Components
Processor: Intel® Core™ i7 2720QM 2.2GHz (3.3GHz Turbo Mode, 6MB Cache)
Memory: 6GB DDR3 at 1333MHz (2DIMMS)
Graphics: 2GB GDDR5 AMD Radeon HD 6990M
HD: 1.5TB Raid 0 (2x 750GB 7,200RPM)
LCD Panel: 17.3-inch WideFHD1920 x 1080 60Hz WLED

Thoughts?
Would I be able to run most new games such as Skyrim and BF3???

No need to get upset Maeve, he was just pointing out that there is a place to request computer help already. But from what I know it could be a bad battery or a bad charger. But those are obvious answers so you've probably already thought of that.

Well then you might need to send the entire unit back. If you have an Ipod or a cell phone that wasnt made before 2003 then you can access the internet through there.
