You are all lying...

Besides, graphics and gameplay are mostly unrelated. Graphics move forward because there is new technology, and as much as we would like to say graphics are unimportant, we all like things to look pretty. And no, we did not hit a graphics cap.

No one said that Graphics mean nothing or are not important. We're saying that for us, Gameplay has more importance over Graphics.

I do like gameplay and story over graphics, but I wouldn't mind eyegasms.

They said that something that would make graphics almost completely perfect was "interesting yet not too much useful".

Graphics aren't gamebreakers most of the time, but they are pretty cool and important.

I agree that gameplay is more important, but great graphics are still a positive for a game, so long as the gameplay wasn't sacrificed to produce the graphics.

Starcraft may be just as fun in its original palpitated form, but it doesn't mean SC2 isn't worth an extra couple of bucks.

That's running in real time on current generation hardware(three of these) using polygons. In a few years, it'll be what games will look like on a midrange graphics card.

Also, I'm going to post these links again.

I agree, they are very cool and important. But I believe that Gameplay is more important. If I've got a game that looks amazing, almost identical to real life but plays very badly to the point of unplayability, then I don't see the point in even playing the game.

To me personaly, a game needs to be enjoyable to play, not just to watch.

Again, I'm not saying Graphics mean absolutely nothing, I'm just saying that I think how a game plays holds more importance to it's success/interest to me then how it looks.

Yes of course. And again, I can't stress this enough. Graphics are a positive for me to. I don't want to play a terrible looking game but I just might if say the Gameplay or Story are great.

Fuck that.

You guys can go play Pacman and jerk off to the amazing gameplay, I'd like it to look good too.

I'l do that Smile Thx for the great idea

Of course graphics are cool. I like to blow up stuff in Crysis or watching the beutiful action in Mass Effect. Yet, to me, the most appealing graphics are VGA, games like Quest for Glory, Space Hulk, Loom, Alien Breed, Another World etc.

Moreover, i prefer graphic styles rather than realism (as can be noticed), things like Borderlands (even though i don't like the game at all, it looks nice), World of Warcraft (which looks gorgeous) or the new Alice:Madness Returns, which is a SUPER game with beautiful design and graphic style, although it can't compare to for example Crysis in realism, I prefer Alice's graphics much more.
