Halo ODST live action series

So I keep forgetting to ask this, but has anyone heard about this? Apparently they are supposed to be making a Halo live action series, but I can't seem to find any info anywhere about it.

The only reason I knew about it was because my mom gave me an email about it (because some guy I interviewed once on a radio show is supposed to be the lead or something) and since then I have deleted it.

I was wondering if anyone has heard/knows any info on it?

It is supposed to "drop" November or December if I recall.

Six months of camping the HBO forums, and I've yet to hear about it. She probably heard about the "Landfall" shorts.

Still, a TV series about Helljumpers would be awesome if done correctly.

I say no Spartans or familiar faces either. Make some new characters to love out of some marines, ODST's, generals, captains, even maybe some civilians etc etc. Gotta have some episodes for the Covenant too. In alien dialoge perhaps? I wouldn't mind subs.

Jeez, look at me thinking so far ahead for this. Probably not even gonna happen. At least not likely for a long while.

I would love it though. Hell, even if it was an internet series like the Mortal Kombat ones they're making now. I'd watch it.

Well it did have 2011 as the airing date, so maybe it is a new bunch of shorts?

No Spartans, and no Forerunner relics. That would make me happy.

No it wouldn't.

Usually, civilians are only cool if they do something that civilians wouldn't normally do. Otherwise they're boring and not involved really.
Skilled writers can overcome this, but most people aren't skilled writers.

Well really an average soldier wouldn't be that interesting either. Not as interesting as a movie character, that is.
