I'd like it to be about regular marines, with the occasional ODST or Spartan. ODST's and Spartans are really over done.

It would be a movie based on a guy saying about two funny things before being shot.

Ten minute movie.

Re: Halo ODST live action series

It's about the experiences they face or the situation the characters are put in not just the simple fact that they may just be a civilian or just another faceless soldier. Actions speak louder then words etc etc.

Personaly I think a short story/episode where it is focused around a human colony under attack by Covenant while still being evacuated would be a nice read/nice watch. Perhaps a Father or Mother or Brother etc having to care for family or something trying to escape to be evacuated. That person forced to pick up a rifle, make touch decisions or do someting that they normally wouldn't (just as BB said) would be cool to see. I think it would be interesting to see how humans who don't know much of the enemys they're government is facing would react to the Covenent. Even more so due to the fact that the Covie's are way more then 1 species.

Yes, seen that done that in other stories and movies but not in this universe. At least not to my knowledge (still have not read evolutions). A familiar story in a different setting, I like to see how those would play out sometimes. And hey, if you don't like it, or the idea of it, then don't watch it.

Spartans and ODST are overdone because they're the only fun ones to watch.

Odst are better than marines becuase marines are squishy and are pretty much cannon fodder. Hence why if you want to film a series you want to have some characters who arent going to die of plasma burns episode 1.

So you're saying fragile people don't make good characters? What about Band of Brothers where any of the characters could have been killed by a gunshot wound? And several were. It was still a good show.

I think it would be kinda cool to get some stuff that ISN'T from a military perspective. That's what Cryptum did, and it was amazing. I even thought Cole Protocol was pretty entertaining to read - despite a few obvious problems with the overall story.

Well, I found it. The reason it wasn't so public was because it was an indie project.

You can check it out at http://www.indiegogo.com/halofilm.

Sadly, it doesn't look like the project will be created as it doesn't have nearly enough funds to do it Sad

Given that they're relying on two people to donate $10,000 dollars apiece, it's not likely to happen.
There's some other Halo shorts out there. Look into them.

I know, but it might have gone through if it had more publicity.

It's always a shame to see something fall without even knowing it was there.
