Accessories

Do you find people more attractive when they have accessories and/or tattoos and other stuff such as hair ribbons, bracelets, chains, monocles, ect. ?

I tend to think that characters (especially drawn characters, but also live action) tend to be far more interesting with accessories, but actual people in real life really aren't that much, although one or two aren't usually bad...

Monocles are fucking sexeh.

For fictional characters, I think that accessories make them more recognizable and less bland. A lot of characters, especially drawn ones, don't have much that stands out or is memorable without some sort of accessories. Think about a real life analogue: you are more likely to remember that guy wearing the orange squid hat than the one who looks completely normal, aren't you? Do the accessories make them look more attractive? Depends, but I would say yes in general.

For real people? I think that accessories should be used but used sparingly. This is just my opinion, but someone without any accessories looks better than someone with a shit ton.

Sleeves are cool (tattoos) but I suppose they aren't used much in stuff because of artistic reasons.


Hard to draw artistic sleeves that are usually a minimum of 5 tattoos each time you show the character.




I just like real life sleeves.

Tattoo's if they have meaning
Piercings if they look cool
Other jewelry/paraphernalia if it looks good

I look at clothing more as utility than art, so jewelery is and 'eh' thing for me. But like Rock, I think the tatoos have a place if they have a real meaning.
