DLC?

Post by Ruski on Fri Dec 16, 2011 10:35 pm

After seeing and reading this, I feel like DLC has been and has gotten to the point where it is absolutely absurd.

Most dlc could and should be put into games they are for.

Is it faster than the other cars? Cause that would pretty much spell doom for EA.

there is no difference in this than there is people spending $100+ for in-game currency to go buy something through, it just cuts out the middle man of having in-game currency.

microtransactions aren't really considered DLC since purchasing this 'DLC' is a near-required part of playing the game. all free2play and play4free games run on microtransactions. Doesn't make them DLC.

DLC is worse, its charging people for shit that is frequently already on the game disc, and can be accessed with a little creative hacking for free on PC versions, yet its 10 Dollars extra to access it or more depending on the company and how useless it is. And in some cases it will almost required to play online, at least consistently.

At least Micro transactions usually only comes with games you didn't pay 50-60 dollars already to play. You know what to expect from the start with those games.

For some of this you're right, but some DLC is not like that. Sure there was some parts of Kasumi were on the ME2 disc, but it was only audio files, and a placeholder for the suicide mission.
