SCP Foundation

Post by Gauz on Mon May 28, 2012 12:39 am

After that one video game thread about SCP-173 I went to the site and started reading them and....

Dear Lord Pheonix these things have the potential for nightmare-fuel. Read SCP-231, it may be one of the most disturbing ones.

Here's a link: http://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/

CivBase Edit: Y'all might like this. http://www.indiedb.com/games/the-stairwell-scp-087/downloads/the-stairwell-scp-087

It's for SCP - 087

SCP-597, "The Mother"

It's what got me into reading them.

It was actually SCP-008 that originally drew me. Quite the classic.

682

It is so dangerous and hates humanity so much that The Foundation is actively trying to find a way to kill it.

http://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/experiment-log-t-98816-oc108-682

Trying to us 052 against it is my personal favorite.

You mean "053". Using SCP-052 against it is clearly a bad idea.

Overall, much of the SCP Foundation is a good read. Am currently writing one myself.

Blood Lake is awesome, I think it's one of the most dangerous Keter's tbh. It was one of the only ones that needed to detonate the on-site warhead.

Also, regarding SCP-231, does anyone want to take a guess at what Procedure 110-Montauk may be?
Some things you should know about 110-Montauk:
1. Described to involve brutal [REDACTED].
2. Carried out by Six Class D Personnel with backgrounds as convicted sex offenders are to be assigned to SCP-231-7 each month for the purposes of carrying out Procedure 110-Montauk.
3. Violent criminals are not to be used for this purpose due to the possibility of accidental fatality during the 110-Montauk process.\
4. During Procedure 110-Montauk, at least one Security Clearance 4/231 staff member must monitor the procedure by camera at all times, although the sound may be turned off if the vocalizations of SCP-231-7 become too distressing.
5. Yes, staff members who have been assigned to SCP-231 are allowed to take a Class A Amnesiac before leaving the project if so desired. Yes, false memories are then implanted. No, none of the supposed methods for recovering or detecting false memories work. Yes, there are some of you who've worked on SCP-231 and don't remember it.
6. Based on the increased potency of each subsequent ████████████ event associated with each subsequent SCP-██ specimen, there is a strong possibility that SCP-231-7's ████████████ event could result in an XK class end-of-the-world scenario.

Also SCP-610 "The Flesh That Hates" is pretty fucking sketchy. A forewarning, the image might be a little disturbing when you open the page.

Re: SCP Foundation

Post by Lord Pheonix on Mon May 28, 2012 2:13 pm

I would say 231 is a young girl (they say young and the blacked out age thing takes two spaces, so shes probably around 10 years old) who must be raped and procure a child or else the end of the world will come.

The things that are birthed are very dangerous seeing as they are able to kill quite easily and just one of them were able to kill somewhere in the triple digits before being put down.

Also, SCP-585 is a badass.

They should use the pencils made by 585 against 682.

That wouldn't kill 682, just piss it off.

Read the termination report. They cut it in half and it just turned into 2 of them and rampaged around until heavy machine gun and 50 cal fire hurt one. Then the stronger one ate the weaker one and became big again.

Stabbing it won't do much.

I know, but the pencil thing is soooo coooool. 60 rotations make it pierce 50 meters of bedrock, imagine what 100 would do if it was possible.

SCP-507 is just some normal guy who teleports to alternate realitys randomly.

http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-507

There is a report of alternate realitys he traveled to.

http://www.scp-wiki.net/document-507-3b

Also one of the VERY few articles that shows that the people have some form of a heart.

9E2-66V-7HG5
Retrieval: Uneventful.

Subject arrived in a forest habitat, with no signs of previous or current industrialization. No further anomalies were perceptible until the subject grew hungry, at which point it discovered that harvesting or eating the plant life would cause them to emit “telepathic screams”. Subject abstained from eating for the first day because of this, but became hungry enough on the second day onward to consume the flora in spite of the screams.

Testing has shown no biological changes in the subject from this, but subject repeatedly affirms that it “felt horrible” for doing so.

Request: None specifically, but subject adopted a gelatin- and pudding-based diet for two and a half weeks after returning from this shift.

9E2-66V-7HG5-2
Retrieval: Subject found in its quarters, balled up with its hands over its ears.

Subject once again arrived in the forest habitat from 9E2-66V-7HG5. The flora seemed to have remembered subject’s last visit, though, and they reacted by “screaming” for its entire four-day shift.

Request: A hug. Approved.

Best comment in the comment section for SCP-871

Not the universe. Eventually, the mass of the cakes would become great enough to collapse into a delicious planetoid, and if they continued replicating, eventually a neutron star, and perhaps even a black hole. From that point, though, the black hole simply becomes more and more massive. Due to the comparative weakness of gravity, it's unlikely anyone not in our galaxy, or Andromeda however many billions of years from now it's supposed to collide with the Milky Way, would give a shit.

EDIT: I'm now imagining a black hole orbited by a halo of relativistic velocity cakes.

Cake = SK-End Of The World As We Know It scenario?

lol

SCP-5308-J-4: A standard size ball-point pen containing what appears to be human blood. It was found in a desk in an abandoned factory in ██████, Saskatchewan. The origin of this blood-like substance is unknown. Under no circumstance is anyone to attempt to write with SCP-5308-J-4. Any personnel who attempts to do so will be terminated, and their surviving relatives assigned to Keter duty.

Addendum SCP-5308-J-4-14: Analysis has shown that the substance contained in SCP-5308-J-4 is heavily degraded ink. Object class has been changed to Euclid.

Professor █████: "Please approach the cube."

D-3534: "Uh, sure. Hey, why are you wearing that suit? Should… should I have a suit?"

Professor █████: "Make a note. Subject appears agitated. Memetic or psychic effect? 3534, Please pick up the cube."

D-3534: "Okay. Oof. Heavy sucker."

Professor █████: "Interesting. Gravity manipulation? How do you feel, 3534?"

D-3534: "Huh? Uh, fine, I guess."

Professor █████: "My Lord Pheonix. It must be healing him."

D-3534: "What?"

Professor █████: "But at what cost? Look at his confusion. It's affecting his mind. D-3534, how do you feel about the cube?"

D-3534: "It's an okay cube, I guess."

Professor █████: "Put the cube down! Right now! Put the cube down!"

D-3534 complies.

Professor █████: "Take the shot! Now! While he's no longer in contact!"

D-3534 is shot by five separate snipers simultaneously.

Professor █████: "Thank Lord Pheonix he put it down. If he'd still been holding the cube when we shot him, there's no telling what it could have done. I want his remains incinerated and the ashes bound into a concrete matrix, just to be sure."
