Operation Flashpoint Series

So, one daya few years ago I pickd up a war game titled Operation Flashpoint:Cold War Crisis

This game immediately set itself apart from other shooters, and is stilll the most realistic game I have ever played. All the real world weapons, tanks, cars and aircraft were represented and their qualities matched those that the real thing would have.


Not too long ago I found out that a second one is being developed.
Any thoughts?



The credit video pretty much sums up the first one, except int eh game its different everytime since the credits are actually just a scenario in auto play

I played Operation Flash Point alot. Fun game, really realistic.

If there's a second one coming out...that'd be awesome...

Yeah, Codemasters is heading the second one. Its release date is currently at the first half of next year if I'm correct.

After Watching some stuff on operation flashpoint 2 I must bring up this thread from the dead!

And I ask who else is excited for this game

I am excited, I just hope Codemasters doesn't *** over the style and make it a CoD Clone

From what I've seen SO FAR, it's not going to be. I hope not, OFP is the first ame that I ever lost multiple times on the first mission......on the easiest difficulty

Never played the first game/s, but I will definitely get this one.

I'm actually kinda disappointed that 2 is about the Chinese, and not Japan.

I was looking forward to a more modern kill-fest.
CoD5 just doesn't do it for me as much anymore.
