Halo Wars, again

Post by L0d3x on Fri Feb 27, 2009 6:33 pm

So, I got the game today.
I won't spoil anything about the campaign so don't worry.

To my surprise I love this game, especially the multiplayer, the game is formidabally balanced.
3v3's are insanely intense too!

As for campaign, got to the sixth level, don't have problems with the story yet, just the dialog in the cinematics are very cheesy.

That annoyed me so very much. Then it turned out that 'War' was actually a town just outside New Mombasa. Happy days!! Razz

Are the flood actually like zombies? Or do they just play as another faction?

I've only encountered Flood in multiplayer thus far, there's a big 3v3 map that has flood colonies or something. Kill it and get a firebase location.

You're going to change your mind when you reach Level 8 and 9.

That's when things start going wrong.

About mission 7, I found it quite entertaining tbh.
Mission 8 will be for later, but yea things seem a bit fishy here.

That's when canon takes a nose dive.

So nobody knows if the flood are actually zombies? Are they dangerous? Is there actually a very well done infection?

I can wait. I waited for all the previous Halos (even though I got them they day they came out), I can wait for this. The cinematics look very good though, from what I've seen.

Finished the campaign and I actually liked the story. There probably are some canon inconsistensies, but they're so minor that I really don't care.

Also for those anti-cyclopse people out there, they really only got used in one mission.
